Muunie has always been an artist and a healer.
She’s wrestled with depression since age 13 and creativity kept her alive. Her own healing and self-discovery led her to her mission of helping others overcome psychological, emotional and physical blocks to realize their dreams.
She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University in 2012 with a BA in Visual and Media Studies and an Rx for Prozac. After 3 years of grinding at a job that wasn’t for her, suppressing her emotions and coping with alcohol, deep soul searching led her back to the transformative power of art.
In 2017, she earned a Masters of Professional Studies (MPS) in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her training combined psychology with the creative process, to help clients use self-expression to meet treatment goals.
Her first job as an art therapist at a large nursing home led her to burnout and her worst depressive episode yet. Devastated, she quit and moved to Los Angeles in search of her own happiness. Little by little, she found it.
Since then, she has used self-expression, self-knowledge and self-trust to create happiness, fulfillment and full-body freedom for herself and others.
In 2018, she started working as a life coach helping individuals and artists of all ages, families and couples transform their lives. She also volunteered as a crisis counselor for the first and largest Suicide Prevention Center in the US, Didi Hirsch, and worked as a professional organizer, digging clients out of hoarding situations and helping individuals with clutter find peace in their homes.
In 2022, she reignited her buried passion for music and created a visual EP called Ele.mental, using fire, water, earth and air to tell her story of self-reclamation from toxic relationships.
In 2023, after discovering the ability to feel and move energy, she became a certified Reiki practitioner. She continues to develop her unique brand of energy medicine to help herself and others release what’s holding them back and come alive.
Always learning and evolving, Muunie weaves her training and experience into an intuitive skillset that is all her own.
She now lives in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, performs live music and inspires others to discover their own radically-liberated approach to life.
